Our Story
We’ve felt the pain of addiction up close. We grew up in a home where addiction was part of our everyday reality. From watching someone we loved struggle, hoping they’d find a way out. We've lost friends, and we've lost family. One loss still haunts us deeply our uncle, who battled so much for so long. He chose not to seek medical help and passed away from an infection caused by drug use.
These moments broke our hearts, but they also lit a fire in us.
Heart of the City Foundation was born from that pain, that love, and a deep desire to make sure others don’t have to go through it alone. We’re here to walk alongside those facing addiction, to offer hope, support, and real tools for recovery because every life is worth fighting for.
